About
I am a highly experienced learning technologies and design specialist with an MA in Online and Distance Education. I manage and develop learning management systems (LMS), including Moodle, as well as having a clear insight into bespoke systems. I author digital and physical learning materials, offer learning design and provide consultancies for digital learning and learner support.
I am a qualified English Language teacher trainer and EAP tutor, with nearly 30 years of experience at all ability levels, across all age ranges from primary schooling to adults, and with preparing students for language examinations and academic studies.
Work
I currently work at Queen Mary University London as a Learning Technologist, and previously worked for 27 years at British Council Spain, where I established, developed and managed the ground-breaking teaching centres portal. As Senior Teacher I managed teaching teams, while also teaching many classes at all levels and across all age ranges. I am now a freelance learning design and technologies consultant, EAP tutor, coach, and pedagogical writer.
